Correlation, Regression Analysis of Seed Oil Contents in Relation to Morphological Characters in Cotton

Cotton is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy. More than half export Pakistan depends on cotton and cotton-based products. Morphological quantitative traits are important for estimation yield. In this regard, a study was conducted to evaluate morphological responses crop at experimental farm MNS-University Agricultural Multan during year 2019-2020. Four varieties with different time windows (early, normal late) were sown in randomized complete block design (RCBD) split plot arrangement. Correlation regression studies cultivars Gossypium Malvaceae analyzed characters. Result revealed that significantly positive correlation boll weight (r=0.211), seed volume (r=0.138), oil content (r=0.020) negatively index (r= -0.005) displayed by all yield, which showed yield greatly influenced Regression coefficients unit increase (b=71.375), (b=120.326), (b=4.954) resulted into proportional increased future, will helpful selection program improvement towards
